*More About Khris*
Through the ebbs and flows of life, everyone deserves to experience peace of mind and yet we rarely know what it feels like or how to obtain it. We all are experiencing life; our minds are filled with thoughts, ideas, disappointments, fears, desires, and everything in between that makes us beautifully complicated. Yet, with each client, I am here to unravel what's going on and to remind you that you are not alone.
I see my clients for who they are, where they have been, and perhaps even where they lost their peace along the way. But through it all, I will extend care, compassion, and authentic self to you in the hopes that over time we will create a healthy relationship that will be challenging, insightful and enlightening with a dash of humor because I believe one of the simplest healing tools is the power of laughter.
*What to Expect From Our Work Together*
I integrate modalities such as CBT, motivational interviewing, parts work, breathwork, and other mindfulness practices that lift up the idea that we are connected in both mind and body. I find myself working alongside clients who need support around anxiety, depression, self-exploration, life transitions, self-esteem issues, complex trauma and inner child and parts work.
Just remember, the first and hardest step can be telling yourself that healing and growth is possible. But to truly believe things can change for the better is when you begin to create an environment for transformation!
*What you Need to Know About Me*
I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. With my love for connection, paired with my empathy for the human experience, it doesn’t cease to amaze me what the power of hope can do. Prior to my career as a counselor, I worked in the field of early childhood throughout the Chicagoland area.
While working with younger children was my first love, I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and older adults. I find that working through a person-centered, holistic and strength-based lens supports the client in their role of being the sole expert and creator of their life, thereby providing the client the freedom to be themselves unapologetically.
