First Things First
I also understand the energy it takes to find the right provider and the variety of factors that go into that decision. I approach the intake process with curiosity and an eye for collaboration, so that we can work together to connect you to a provider that best meets your needs and preferences.
I find that my substantial background in administrative assistance comes from a place of loving to support others, where I can find areas that need help and stealthily take care of it before an issue arises. I look forward to handling insurance verification, scheduling, and answering any questions you may have during your wellness journey. It’s a pleasure to join the team at Elevate Counseling and contribute to client access in achieving your goals!
What You Need to Know About Me
I was born and raised in Chicago, and received my dual education in psychology and creative writing here. I have always been curious about other humans and the ways that our individual contexts contribute to our wellness and quality of life. This led me to work in healthcare settings providing services like primary care, urgent care, intensive outpatient mental health therapy, and physical therapy. I am also a published poet and writer, and find that writing is my way of exploring humanity. I’m drawn to psychology and writing because they both can be ways to increase quality of life in difficult circumstances or moments of disparity.
I highly value the pursuit of knowledge and being able to ask questions. When I’m able, if I have interest in a topic I will sign up for some kind of class on it (I’m eying a metalsmithing class as we speak). This exploration allows me to be a resource for my friends and family and connect them to opportunities that could be useful to them. I love to see their joy from a good match.
I enjoy whimsy and the creative side of life, so you can often find me reading a book, sharing a TV show or movie so we can discuss it after viewing, or perusing artwork at a gallery with an unusual theme.
