Therapy for adults struggling with intrusive thoughts and OCD, ADHD, people-pleasing or trauma

Many of my clients are very good at appearing like they have things together on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or disconnected from themselves. Therapy can be a place to better understand those patterns, develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, and begin responding to life in ways that feel more intentional.

  • Sexual and Domestic Abuse Survivors

  • People Pleasing

What To Expect

Our first session is what I call laying the foundation. I’ll want to understand not only what brings you to therapy, but the experiences and relationships that have helped shape you—family, friendships, romantic relationships and other important parts of your life.

My style is warm, genuine, nonjudgmental and collaborative. Clients often tell me that therapy with me feels like a place where they can finally let their walls down and talk about thoughts or feelings they haven’t felt comfortable sharing anywhere else.

That matters to me. I believe meaningful change begins when you have enough safety to explore what is really happening without feeling ashamed or judged for it.

At the same time, therapy with me isn’t only about validation. I believe we can have compassion for why a behavior or pattern developed while also recognizing our responsibility for changing what is no longer serving us. We are not defined by our mistakes, but we do have a role in deciding what we do next.

We Might Be a Fit If You Feel…

  • “I keep repeating the same patterns and can’t seem to break them.”
  • “I don’t know how to explain what I’m feeling or what I need.”
  • “I feel stuck.”
  • “I suspect I am neurodivergent and I want to be assessed.”

A Little About Me

I became a therapist because I wanted to be there for people during the times when they feel most alone. I’ve had my own experiences with therapy that were life-changing, and I hope to create that kind of meaningful experience for the people I work with.

Outside the therapy room, I’m engaged and have two Labradors who are very much considered my children. I moved to Chicago from a small town in Missouri in August 2025 and have loved experiencing the energy of the city. You’ll often find me at a concert, walking along the lakefront with my fiancé and our dogs, or reading—usually either a cheesy romance or a psychological thriller.
