Perhaps you find yourself living a life you did not anticipate - or the one you thought you wanted is not quite meeting your expectations. Whether you are dealing with marriage and relationship issues, parenting challenges or unexpected life events, holding it together is often difficult and thriving seems all but impossible. But there is a great deal you can do to make things significantly better, you can even get to a place where you are truly happy and living the life you envisioned.
I create a warm environment in which there is honesty, insight, mutual work and real progress whether I am working with you as a couple, a parent, or on your own personal development. We will ask and answer the tough questions and put in real work in an effort to uncover why things are the way they are, strengthen your relationships and provide actions, skills and approaches so you can feel better and more connected.

Let's be honest, navigating your teen and early adult years can be difficult and it’s more complex now than ever before. It can be a real struggle to keep the lid on anxiety or depression, to deal with social and relationship difficulties or even just keep up with peers and the expectations of others. You know you should be happy but the voice in your head keeps telling you that something is not quite right and navigating this time by yourself is not proving effective.
You and I will work together to get a clear picture of who you are, remove a lot of the self-doubt, add some perspective and build upon the strengths you already possess. I provide a warm, friendly environment where together we will explore the reasons you seek therapy, then develop strategies and actions that can bring meaningful change and personal growth.
I have a BA in Psychology and received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. I have a special interest in community advocacy and erasing the stigma surrounding Mental Health, particularly for young populations. As a part of my own self-care, I enjoy exploring the local restaurant scene and food photography.
Focus Areas: Teens, Young Adults and Millennials dealing with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, academic and work stress and relationship challenges.
Regardless of the reasons you are interested in starting therapy, my role is to create a comfortable place where you can share what’s on your mind without judgement. I want your experience with me to be comfortable and inspired, but most importantly, helpful. I fully understand just how challenging life can be, and I want you to know that you don’t have to struggle through the challenges alone.
My approach is person-centered, which means I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward the life you want for yourself. We will explore your goals for therapy, unearth some of what has led you here and together move down a path of new thinking and new actions.
I am a student at Northwestern University completing my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I studied psychology at Boston College and have an MBA from DePaul. While a large part of my career has been in residential real estate, my passion has always been helping others. I am married with three awesome teens, a giant St Bernard mix named Gertrude, and in my spare time I am a Crisis Text Line Counselor.
Focus Areas: Adults and Seniors dealing with life transitions, depression and anxiety.
If you're ready to work, I’m ready to hit the ground running. You’re ready for change today, not two years from now. Together, we’re going to roll up our sleeves and collaborate on how to make those changes happen. I promise to be your biggest fan and 100% honest with you as you head toward the life you want.
My role is to challenge you and help you see and express some difficult things. There might be times when you won’t like me (or you) and you’ll want to stop. That's how therapy works sometimes - it's a normal part of the process. We put in the effort, push through the tough parts, take breathers when we need to and rejoice in the breakthroughs. Because on the other side of the hard work you do with me is the life you want and deserve.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor; I have a BS in Psychology and received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I'm originally from Austin where I developed a love of Tex-Mex, live music and the perfectly placed swear word. I love living in Chicago but miss wearing flip flops in December. I'm married, raising two teens and having fun with our two dogs.
Focus Areas: Adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions and those feeling they want to create more meaning and joy in the day to day.
