More About Josh

Do you ever feel like you’re trapped in a rerun, repeating the same patterns or stuck in one place? Well, I would love to work through those roadblocks with you! I love being a therapist because I believe positive change is possible. My goal is helping you work toward the relationships you want and the authenticity you deserve. Your best self is your real self, and I would love to learn more about who you are together.

What To Expect From Our Work Together

I believe healing happens in the context of relationships—including the one we co-create in the therapy space. My approach is relational and psychodynamic, meaning I want to learn about the connections you’ve had and the connections you want. Your origin story matters, but I’m curious to learn how experiences from your past are affecting your day-to-day life in the present. I hope you walk away from our time together feeling hopeful and seen. Let’s dive in together!

What You Need To Know About Me

I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University. I also hold a master’s degree in English rhetoric and composition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where I wrote my capstone on the need for democratized access to mental health services for queer youth and young adults. I’m dedicated to advocating for and supporting the LGBTQIA+ clients, couples, and communities, especially during this time when we are at heightened risk of marginalization and exclusion.

In my free time, I enjoy smoothies, coffee, and buying books faster than I could possibly ever read them. I love writing, and I also enjoy group fitness classes, where I try very hard, to varying degrees of success.
