*What To Expect From Our Work Together*
I create a warm environment in which there is honesty, insight, mutual work, and real progress. Our relationship is truly the most important aspect of our time together and I want you to feel free to use your voice and be authentic- no filters necessary! Whether I am working with you as a couple, a parent, or on your individual development, we will ask and answer the hard questions and put in real work in an effort to uncover why things are the way they are, strengthen your relationships, and provide practical actions, skills, and approaches so you can feel better and more connected. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it!
*What You Need to Know About Me*
I love getting to the heart of things and helping my clients explore both their inner world and worldview. After all, each of us is shaped by a wide variety of factors, such as culture, society, family, and beliefs. It is my passion to view clients as a whole, rather than just their struggles.
So, here’s a few things that have shaped me into the person I am today. While pursuing my Master’s degree, I began working as an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapist for children on the autism spectrum and developed a deep understanding of behavioral health. I married my high school sweetheart and we now have two young adult children, a home filled with love and animals, and enjoy finding new adventures together.
I received my Masters in Counseling from Governors State University, with a focus in Marriage, Couples, and Families. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor and member of the American Counseling Association. In addition, I have a BA in Psychology and extensive experience in working with children on the autism spectrum and their families. I am a member of and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and have a passion for working with multicultural clients
